Friday, 30 November 2007

The weather during this trip was overcast with a noticeable northerly wind. Birds were active at the feeder near the visitor centre and the species seen included willow tit and tree sparrow. Flocks of siskin and redpoll were seen in the nearby alders and a covey of red-legged partridges was spotted in some neighbouring fields. Amongst the wildfowl several goldeneye were in attendance, as were some goosanders.
